Your online corporate event can take many forms. Whether it’s for customers, internal teams, vendors or dealers, the tone and presentation direction may vary; however, the overall quality of the production must be at a high level. For this reason, we always recommend pre-recorded videos rather than live-streaming whenever feasible.
You have more control with pre-recorded events and can upgrade the presentation with more relevant b-roll and graphics. They’re much easier to schedule talent as well.
Here are a few case studies from several of our pre-recorded presentations.
LinkedIn Quarterly Reports
For several years, we produced videos for LinkedIn’s internal quarterly reporting. Mostly, they were talking-head videos with b-roll and graphics with relevant metrics. We usually recorded them with three cinema-quality cameras featuring up to half a dozen different executives.
These videos were meant to be relatively brief (under 30 minutes) presentations highlighting quarterly performance and future goals. The client also wanted them to be somewhat entertaining. We often tied in musical parodies, one-liners and other types of humor to keep the videos engaging.
All videos were shot in one day at the LinkedIn headquarters in San Francisco.
Ducati Dealer Conference
For Ducati’s annual dealer conference, we recorded several presentations and edited them together into one hour-long video. The client wanted a sleek set with a video wall with their brand front-and-center. We shot the presentations with three cinema-quality cameras at a sound stage in Sunnyvale, CA. One entire day was devoted to building the set and brief rehearsals, and the videos were shot all in one day.
Because of the timeline, we had to edit the entire video including b-roll and graphics within three days. The result was a successful online event that featured an informative and well-produced series of presentations from various Ducati executives.
Intuit Connect ON Virtual Event
This event was a complex show with multiple speakers, several fireside chats, motion graphics, b-roll and matching product demos. And we only had two weeks to do it all.
The first week was devoted to the video shoot. Over five full days, we shot a half a dozen presentations and several seminars and fireside chats. To ensure efficiency on set, we built two different sets on the Intuit campus in Mountain View, CA, each with three cinema-quality cameras. We also leveraged a gimbal to keep things nimble. During this time, our team worked on graphics and product animations.
The following week, our team worked 12-hour days putting it all together. At the end of the day, we delivered an online conference video over three hours long.
Corporate presentation videos are effective and more cost-efficient than live events. They need to be informative and engaging at the same time. Our team at Picturelab is highly experienced and capable of producing and delivering high-quality event videos.
