Documentary and Micro-Documentary Video Series
In the first half of the 2010s, Picturelab and our sister company, Transvideo Studios, recognized the power of documentaries in providing a voice to those without platforms, and sharing the stories of the people, programs and businesses making an impact in the community. We called it Circular Magazine. It told stories of life in Silicon Valley. Each episode explored a general topic through a collection of documentaries, short fiction, poetry, and animation.
We began pre-production in 2015 and began production the following year. Our in-house crew trekked all across the Valley with a RED Epic and a handful of amazing leads. By 2017, we had produced an eight-episode season featuring a wide range of different people, businesses and programs.
Due to internal changes at Transvideo Studios, we decided to postpone further seasons. But we’re very proud of the stories we told. Watch the entire season below.
